2007 Wilson Elementary High Interest Day!
Our future educators put together an exciting program for the students of Wilson Elementary.  They had a chance to teach 5 great groups of elementary school students who were in kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade

Students put animal signs on shirts donated by the CCC during the creation of their craft projects.  Enjoy the shirts & thanks for a great day Wilson students.  You kids did an awesome job!
As the story was read, kids got a chance to see some animal items up-close, including pelts, antlers, hooves, owl pellets, and many animals from our taxidermy collection.
The lesson began with a welcome and a brief discussion about how you don't have to SEE animals to know that they've been around.  Animals leave SIGNS in nature that can tell stories without them even being seen!  "Who Pooped in the Park" was a story about animal sign explored by a family in Yosemite National Park.
