MINK FROG
Rana septentionalis (2.0 - 2.75 inches)

Olive to brown in color; mottled on sides and legs

Habitat - cool, permanent water bodies (& in bogs too)

Status in Wisconsin - Locally common and stable
The mink frog's song sometimes sounds like a horse's hooves galloping on a hard surface.

Breeding season: Early June - Late July
