GREEN FROG
Rana clamitans (2.4 - 3.5 inches)

Light to dark olive green or brown color with small irregular brown spots. Note the dorsilateral folds running from the eye to the mid-body.

Habitat - Lakes, ponds, rivers, marshes

Status in Wisconsin - Common & Stable
The "gung gung gung" of the green frog sounds like the strumming of a loose banjo string

Breeding season: Early June - Late July
