Central Conservation Club Advisors and Assistants
Hi, I'm Pat Gain, advisor for the CCC. I teach Environmental Science, an elective course offering for seniors at West Allis Central High School. I have been in charge of the CCC since 2001, and every year the number and diversity of opportunities that we have been able to put together for the students of West Allis Central seems to fill up the calendar more and more. In response, membership within the organization has increased dramatically as well. We wouldn't be the group that we are today without the dedicated volunteers that we have within our school and in the community. The chaperones and assistants who help us out give of their own time, unpaid, to acclimate urban students to the outdoors and help instill an appreciation for the environment. We are VERY lucky to have these devoted individuals as part of our club initiatives!
Steve Benton is a chemistry teacher, who entered the field of education after having worked as an environmental consultant. Mr. Benton is a geology fanatic, and contrubutes trememdously of his own time to our organization. Steve has spent countless hours teaching students of the CCC college-level Oceanography, so that they can compete in the annual Sturgeon Bowl Competition against teams from throughout the state!
Dale Lindenberg teaches physical science and is the science department chairperson at West Allis Central. His vast knowledge of the outdoors has made him our automatic "guide service" on many of our excursions. Professor Lindenberg, an avid hunter and fisherman, has been kind enough to allow students to camp on his family's land in Marinette County for our annual Whitewater Rafting trip.

QUITE SIMPLY, WITHOUT THESE FOLKS, WE COULDN'T DO WHAT WE DO!
Heather Bain is a social studies teacher who loves the outdoors, and has attended numerous adventure trips and initiatives with the CCC. She is willing to take on any challenge we need her for, from helping cook for 25 starving people to driving the always unpredictable school vehicles! Miss Bain is a mainstay in our organization and we are fortunate to have her around!
